I've worked at a huge variety of jobs across many industries. My bottom up experience with daily procedures and protocols has given me the experience and skills to efficiently and effectively deal with problems. Working with thousands of individuals over the years has given me a solid understanding of what people want and need from products.At the core of my being, I am a computer guy. Since childhood, I've had a keen interest in computers, software, and hardware. I have helped with conceptual systems built upon existing and modified systems. I've been on the internet since 1992, the www was only text, most of the computers on the net were academic or military. Things were different back then.As a teen I started a company with some high school friends. My product became an huge success.Due to this success, me and my friends were free to pursue whatever interested us. I began working on music, my business partner Mike started making movies. Some of our artwork did indeed impress consumers and critics, and we won some major awards, while turning a tidy profit.My two great contributions to humanity were: Convincing Apple to make a touchscreen smartphone, and establishing contact with ancient and wise people. I am a member of some clubs of repute and esteem. I have been honoured by them with certain advantages.When I first got to Vancouver, my brother convinced me that I would need a cell phone. I ended up getting a small flipscreen handset with very primitive internet capabilities. A very rugged and durable device, however I was astounded by how primitive the software on it was. Immediately I saw an opportunity and considered writing software for it.But, a job placement changed my life forever when I was sent to work at a warehouse.This warehouse had Motorola touchscreen laser barcode scanners. Basically small computers shaped like a scanning gun, with a tiny keyboard and a plastic screen, which displayed a grid of icons. These ran on Windows CE.When I saw these computers, I began to envision a new type of device, a new form factor for computers. I thought to myself, "All I need is that screen." When in Ontario, I had taken some computer tech courses. I I knew there was a portable computer called the Transmeta Antelope. It ran full Windows but was the size of a pack of cards. It had a tiny monocle screen, and a handheld controller attached by cables.If a company slapped a touchscreen on an Antelope, we'd have something. I messaged people involved with Apple furiously & the next year Apple revealed the iPhone.
