My love for the understanding of the human mind is what led me to study psychology at UC Riverside. I was more amazed to realize how big the field of Psychology is and what research was. I mostly knew about counseling before diving deeper and realizing that psych doesn't always mean mental health. That is where UX research came into play.     As a UX Researcher, I have done user outreach across facebook, reddit, Instagram, and tiktok. As a result, I have held over 40 UX interviews with our ideal users. Through the interviews, I can see the insights and analyze the findings that align with our teams' expectations, goals, and requirements. These interviews consist of prototype testing, content expectations, and rounds of different usability testing with specific features as well as the app as a whole.     I worked on research to attack the question of how kids view themselves through game characters. It was important for us to understand how kids perceive what is a lot like them and what is a lot different from them. I assisted through more than 30 interviews of 4-7 years old. I had to ask them open ended questions about how they feel toward a character, how they want to build the characters that are similar or different to them, and how they felt toward the very different character. I was in charge of recording everything that the child said during the interviews, such as how the characters felt when something was done to them, how they saw those actions, and what solutions they came up with. Afterward, I encoded the data that I received through 30 interviews, to see if kids understood the concept of self and self-image.

    As a supervisor, I have experienced my fair share of confused or upset customers. Most of the time, they are upset that what they ordered is not what they got. This confusion comes from customers being unaware how their drinks look or how they are made. I started thinking of a way to make this predicament a little easier and I did research involving the Starbucks app and Website. I did a card sort study and a Tree Test study on the Starbucks website. I aided my manager on building everyone's schedules. I also facilitated call off's as well as found coverage for open or dropped shifts. I was responsible for uplifting the team through biweekly events. I frequently sent out mass emails with announcements, updates, and important information to our 60 coworkers. I was also in charge of leading the floor, while my manager did the tasks that they needed to do in the office. I aided my manager in ordering food inventory as well as supplies. I also trained new baristas and barista leads.

    I designed a remote moderated usability study to help solve the problem of multiple listed contacts. The design that was created would allow a user to merge multiple duplicates of contacts into one, while saving the duplication of the information such as emails, phone numbers, and companies. I recruited 15 participants through usertesting.com, build a research plan, executed the plan, found insights through the research, and presented my findings. As I was analyzing the data, I found the main user pain points and provided recommendations based on the research.
