I am known for my passion and ability to get things done. During a trip to India I discovered a word for how I operate. Jugaad loosely translates from Hindi to English as “using meagre resources to create new things”. That’s what I do, and I do it well. My experience across many industries and sectors means I can combine the best of what I have seen to innovate and create. I’ve networks and relationships around the world, so if I haven’t done it I can almost guarantee I know how to find someone who can. My passion is creating positive change in the world, and I love to see opportunities where others see barriers. Happy hearts and smiling eyes make the world a better place.I have more than 20 years experience in the not-for-profit sector.My sporting achievements include Australian Baseball player, and international administrator, coach volunteer and technical official, from domestic grass-roots to international high performance. My 10 years in government means I know how to navigate the convoluted pathways to achieve outcomes. Love the term “frank and fearless advice” and also learned to stay true to my values and to pick my battles (mostly!)My career started in the business world and this base means I can balance the practical with the passion to improve outcomes while not compromising my values. Oh and I’m a bit of a governance nerd and one of my mentors taught me how to have fun reading constitutions. Go figure!
