I am Prof. Narendra Awasthi, presently working as the Director, Himachal Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET) after taking VRS from Himachal Pradesh University on 30th June, 2014 as the Controller of Examinations where more than four lac students are getting quality education. Before taking up the assignment in HPU, I had been working as Joint Director of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh. I remained Principal of Govt. Postgraduate Colleges of the state viz., Mandi, Hamirpur, Dharamshalaettc. With additional charge of Dierector, HP University Regional Centre Dharamshala for about 14 years is including the assignment as the Director (Principal) HP State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). I have a total teaching, research and administrative experience of more than 33 years. Educational Qualification: M.A. Economics (Regional Planning & Economic Growth)
