FloydHub is a cloud platform for building and deploying Deep Learning models in the cloud. Raised $4 Million in funding from YCombinator and other VCs. FloydHub has supported more than 100k users and 1000 businesses.I helped design and build the first version of the product for public launch. As the company grew, I was responsible for the engineering team, building the cloud infrastructure, and working closely with our customers to deploy our solution. I set the long term technical direction for the company by selecting technologies, tools and solutions (open source, SAAS) and making purchasing / adoption decisions.During this time I also learned a lot about product design, product management, Customer Service (CX), and Content Marketing. FloydHub predated the cloud solutions now offered by the cloud providers (like SageMaker, Google Collab). After many iterations of the product, we could not find product-market fit and build a sustainable business. So we shutdown FloydHub in 2021. It was an amazing experience to work with a wonderful team and tackle tough startup problems.
