• Responsible for Strategic Sourcing of Critical commodities like Refractory, Fuels and Chemicals and Plant Maintenance Services and MRO items such as Pumps, Tools and Grinding Wheels, Material handling items (Crane, Hoist, Conveyor belt, Pulley, Idlers, Wire rope cables, Slings, Packaging consumables, Coil Wrapping machine, OD/ID Bander, Ship Loader etc) for operation and maintenance of 2.8 MTPA Steel Plant. • Successfully Handled procurement of LMF-2 Project ( Packages,Equipment and Services).• Review bid specifications, issue RFQ, analyse quotes, evaluate products/services and award purchase orders consistent with the Purchasing processes & ensure timely delivery of material/services to meet plant requirements and timely completion of projects. • Lead individuals and teams through the development of relationship building with stakeholders while ensuring customer satisfaction, including Suppliers, Business Units, and all teams within Procurement.• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions, detailed SOW’s, pricing, service levels, and execute agreements for major commodities.• Lead major negotiation activities and supplier cost reduction efforts resulting in quantifiable savings to meet the Project budget & annual business plan.• Act as the lead facilitator to resolve conflict between the plant and suppliers by managing contracts and resolving problems in delivery, scheduling, scope changes, price issues and quality concerns.• Communicate information to stakeholders relative to contracts, bid arrangements, services, guarantees, warranties, prices, etc.• Streamline procedures to enhance productivity and reduce non-value added work.• Demonstrate the use of total cost of ownership analysis for assigned commodities also applying Negotiation.

• Worked with Qatar Shell GTL (world’s Largest Gas to Liquid plant) as Sr. Procurement Engineer and responsible for procurement of various brownfield EPCM projects and Turnarounds requirements of QSGTL (Total value approx. USD 200 millions).• Handled Procurement (approx. 50 mln USD annually) of Mechanical Items (Static & Rotary), piping, Fittings, Valves, electrical and instrument packages for various projects. This includes engaging sourcing plan, alignment with Global Category Management, negotiations, Pre and Post award contract management.• Managed EPCM Contractors (Chiyoda, Kentz, and Technip) to perform pre-award and post award activities according to Qatar Shell CPPM Procedures.• Coordinating closely with Vendors, Project team, QA/QC, Global Category Managers, Warehouse, Finance and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.• Played a key role in extending Global EFAs to Qatar Shell.

* Joined Essar Steel, Hazira as GET in June 2004 and worked in commissioning of module-4 (DRI) and procurement of module 5 and 6 of DRI plant till oct 2006.* Part of Essar's Global Procurement team (GS) and worked at Beijing/Harbin, China from November 2006. Responsible for Procurement, inspection and expediting of various order for Power plants,oil refinery and Steel plant for 6.5 years.* Procurement Manager for GASCO pipeline project at Abudhabi, UAE from July 2013 to Nov 2013.
