In the world of business intelligence, while the world turned its attention big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, and other buzzwords of tomorrow, it turned its attention away from some more important issues - visually meaningful ways of presenting information. Yes, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik and the likes did a phenomenal job of marketing their products, but they saw users as standalone entities, that need to crunch a small set of data to make their job easier. Zeyga took a slightly bigger picture. We thought there was a case for humongous amounts of data to be crunched and presented in a visually meaningful way, using the power of today's front-end web technologies to present information, while using the power of cloud and server-grade hardware to do the heavy lifting of data management. And we have started delivering on this promise, using as much of high-quality, open-source technologies as possible.We also realised hundreds of core transactions systems in banking, finance, retail, energy, manufacturing, do not have data exploration capabilities in them. Users are therefore forced to buy expensive BI tools to exploit the power of data. Zeyga was therefore built to offer transaction systems software companies an opportunity to embed Zeyga into their solution offering, thereby extending their value to their customers. We therefore do not sell to end-users, but to partners who integrate our solution into theirs, and offer to their customers. The sales & marketing money that we do not have to spend on luring end-users therefore go into product development, and in offering a more affordable product.The game has begun! 2018, I believe, will be a watershed year for Zeyga.
