Synthesis of various nano-structures including nanoparticles, nanorods,nanodumbells, nanosheets, nanowires, and nanoflowers of inorganic materials by using cost-effective sol-gel and hydrothermal methods.Studied the surface functionalization of nanostructures and quantum dots with various organic ligands or bio-active group for the detection of cations, biomolecules, and pharmaceutical drugs in semi or fully aqueous media.Studied the recognition studies, titration studies, real time analysis, stability test, interference studies, reproducibility test and electrochemical behavior of various hybrid inorganic-organic assemblies for the development of fluorescent and electrochemical sensors.Characterized the growth parameters, band gap modulation, stress/strain relaxation phenomena, morphological, structural, optical, and electric properties of rare earth doped nano structures and core-shell as well as composite materials based thin films on various substrates (e.g., glass, silicon, ITO, FTO and flexible) for the future solid state light applications.Extensive experience working with various techniques including Scanning electron microscope /Energy dispersive spectroscopy, Transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, Photo luminescence spectroscopy, X-rays photoelectron spectroscopy, Liquid Chromatography, Thermal evaporator, Spin Coater, Radio-frequency sputtering, Pulsed laser deposition sputtering, UV-VIS spectrometer, Fluorescence spectrometer, Optical microscope, Hall measurement system, Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Dynamic particle size analyzer, Cyclic voltammetry, Four-point probe current-voltage measurement, BASi electrochemical workstation, Heat treatment system and device testing in an inert-atmosphere glove box.General laboratory management : supplies, health and safety and instrument maintenance.
