I firmly believe that living your values through action is the most important thing you can do as a leader. The second is to never stop learning. When I started QE Food Stores, I had a clear vision and no formal education. I had to learn on the job and quickly understood the importance of having a purpose and making sure every decision was authentically aligned. We’ve grown from a single store in Sydney’s Darlinghurst to 11 locations and a rapidly expanding e-commerce experience. We’ve achieved all this by remaining focused on the mission I set at the start of my journey: improve people's health and lifestyle by making quality food shopping easy. I’ve been fortunate to have several impactful mentors who’ve shaped how I lead and mentor the hundreds of people in my team. Our customers will always be at the heart of what we do, but it's through our team that we bring our values to life. Building a culture of community comes from empowering every individual to realise their part in reaching our shared goals. As an agile and innovative business, it means not being afraid to make mistakes and always looking to find new ways to improve our customers’ lives.I encourage my team not to hold grudges and to approach their work with passion, ensuring meaningful impact. We work closely with suppliers to bring more than 6000 grocery lines to our customers. As we continue to grow, it’s my priority to never lose sight of our passion for helping our communities.
