* Responsible for leasing over 6,000,000 square feet of prime neighborhood, community, power and lifestyle shopping centers in North Carolina.* Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships with desirable prospective tenants, including local, regional and national restaurants and retailers.* Lease new space; develop and execute creative and aggressive leasing strategies which may include re-tenanting, renewals, early renewals, buy-outs, re-locations and new tenants. * Qualify potential tenants by reviewing their financial statements and checking references; negotiate terms of lease on behalf of DDR for highest return to the Owners; including such items as space, basic and percentage rent, term of lease, extra charges, etc; review with immediate supervisor and obtain approval of next level management.* Communicate and coordinate with Legal department to have documentation prepared incorporating the terms agreed upon and appropriate to the specific property; initiate preparation of tenant space; notify construction department to send shell drawings and Construction guidelines to tenant. Ultimately ensure lease is fully executed expeditiously.* Canvass the market to identify potential tenants; visits existing retail facilities in the center’s community and neighboring communities at local shopping centers, central business districts and suburban retail areas; contact retailers by phone or in person to obtain additional information and assess the level of interest on the part of the retailer and DDR in leasing space; review industry publications to identify potential national and regional tenants and industry trends..* Communicate with and report to partners, lenders, and others as applicable, the status of leasing activity, as needed.* Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, on center by center basis for review and approval by supervisor and senior management.Achievements:*Top 3 Producer (# of Deals)
