My key responsibilities are:- To ensure that the charity complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations- To ensure that the charity pursues its objects as defined in its governing document- To ensure the charity applies its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects- To contribute actively to the board of trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction, setting overall policies, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against said targets- To safeguard the good name and values of the charity- To ensure the financial stability of the charity- To appoint and support the chief executive officer and monitor his/her performance.I do this through a commitment to the mission of the charity to encourage individuals into a STEM career.
