-- Implemented/Validated Dormant/Deep-sleep feature of several high-end (ARMv7) application processors. Validation step rigorously covers all possible corner cases (single-core/multi-core) and critical region over dormant entry/exit path. Identified several crucial silicon bugs and implemented work-around for those bugs. -- Walked through the dormant/deep-sleep path (i.e. various C states) in production kernel and measured latency in different portion of the path by varying configuration (CPU/L2 Cache/AXI frequency). Proposed several optimizations in dormant/deep-sleep path.-- Developed/reviewed functional requirement specification, test-plan, and test-cases for power management architecture.-- Modified/developed benchmark tests and characterized (Max speed, Min operating voltage) different components (DDR, ARM core) of application processor by running standalone/Android benchmark tests. - Research Area: Operating Systems in Wireless Sensor Networks. - Developed an efficient Wireless Reprogramming (Firmware update through wireless media) mechanism in Wireless Sensor Networks which requires less flash memory writing, less energy, less time than existing schemes. Expected to publish in ACM/IEEE transaction Journal. - Working as an Embedded System specialist in “Zigbee (IEEE 802.15.4) based Wireless Sensor Network for Harsh Environment”, a research project for Syncrude Canada Ltd, at Telecom Research Lab. Supervised research group to choose a right OS through detailed discussion on technical features, community support, implementation experiences of existing OSes in WSN. Currently guiding team to develop Zigbee Network stack in MSP430F54xx and CC25xx based platform.

Thoroughly studied IEEE 802.16e (WiMAX) standards and OBSAI guidelines and explored different Carrier Grade Linux. - Involved in designing WiMAX Base station software, able to serve 255 parallel users demanding different services simultaneously.- Customized Linux kernel 2.4.20 and its protocol stack, and implemented network entry module according to OBSAI guidelines.- Managed Testing & Quality Assurance team. - Worked as a developer in “SigmaStream: A P2P Video Streaming System” project, and involved in developing a connection management module that handles establishing network connection (through NAT and firewall devices, relay servers, and proxies), negotiating session details (codecs, formats, etc.), and exchanging data for a P2P Video Streaming System in collaboration with a research team from Siemens Technology to Business (TTB). - Major tools and languages: C/C++ STL, Java, Libjingle, Jabber Server, NAT Traversal algorithms etc.- Developed and enhanced driver of TI DSP based motor control system which was used by a leading electric bicycle manufacturer in US. This enhanced driver helped the client to market its new model of bicycles well ahead of time with enriched functionality. - Major tools and languages: C, C#, Assembly, Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, LabView, TMS320LF2407A board, TI Code Composer Studio etc.- Developed a testing and verification system of Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) with capacity of testing thousand lamps simultaneously.
