Nasim Ameri is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, she is a psychotherapist at Mindful Healing Works Wellness Center, located in Dundalk, Maryland. I have worked close to 10 years as a Special Education Paraeducator in the Collaborative Autism Preschool Program (CAPP) at Montgomery County Public Schools and I specifically work with students on the Autism Spectrum which are between the ages of 3 and 5. Our program specializes in early intervention and the implementation of ABA strategies in helping students abide by the curriculum and learn basic and essential life skills. I find joy in providing individuals with autism the means and support to optimize their personal growth, self-esteem, and independence. I also finds joy in educating and helping families navigate the challenges and difficulties of living with a family member with autism.
