I am a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience at the intersection of humanitarian work and Geoinformatics. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics and currently pursuing an MSc. in Geoinformation Science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, I bring a unique blend of academic prowess and practical expertise to the field. My professional journey has been marked by significant achievements, including serving as the MHPSS/GBV (GIS) Program Coordinator at the Center for Child Care and Human Development. In this role, I led the development of an innovative information flow system using GIS data, contributing to evidence-based decision-making in mental health and gender-based violence sectors.Prior to this, my tenure as a mental health Database Operator at the International Committee of the Red Cross enhanced my skills in spatial data collection and database management. Proficient in SQL, GIS, and the ArcGIS suite of tools, I have successfully developed and maintained GIS datasets, conducted spatial analysis, and created impactful health impact maps by integrating epidemiological data with environmental factors.My commitment to knowledge transfer is reflected in my roles as a trainer, technical supervisor, and facilitator of capacity-building workshops.
