Supporting the ventilation and drill&blast departments:-Mandates: support with day-to-day work, implement ventilation on demand to reduce energy consumption of primary fans, reduce production drill holes deviation by identifying main drivers of such deviation and bringing applicable solutions/tools to the table.Acted as backfill engineer in charge of pastefill, rockfill and cemented rockfill planning in 2021: -Notable projects: designed tight fill barricades, instrumented mechanical barricades as first step towards continuous pour of a stope, determined paste recipes to be used for specific stopes, launched a QAQC coring campaign through paste, planned paste holes and pipe construction in the short/medium term, launched a paste rheology study and flow model revision with third party consultant, conducted cement usage reconciliation.

Fleet dispatch optimization and operations management from the Integrated Remote Operation Centre:- Optimize mine operations in coordination with the mill, train and port within a vertically integrated structure.- Establish coordination and open communication between the departments, schedule activities affecting the value chain to reduce downtimes and identify maintenance and/or production opportunities.- Provide the mine dispatcher with analytical feedback and establish a production plan to hit KPI targets set by the mine plan.- Communicate any major event occurring in the pits and on the mine site to the foremen and affected departments.

Assisted the engineering team with numerous tasks including the following: •Ground control: conducted underground support and grouting inspection, measured water inflows and pressures for a hydrogeology study, contributed to new mining services standard, issued backfill plans. •Ventilation: enhanced the existing workflow to take advantage of Deswik capabilities to automate templates and plans, completed ventilation surveys and kept the online VOD system up to date. •Drill and Blast: updated sill-out procedure, issued after-blast protocols to facilitate gas evacuation, improved remote mucking arrangements in draw points and created stope post-mortem reports. •Surveying: assisted the surveyors during CMS readings, breakthrough holes measurements and surveying. •Safety: improved the existing emergency evacuation plans which are now displayed in the underground refuges. •Administration: issued SOP to secure e-documents using a digitized professional engineering seal. Completed Common Core modules 1,2,3,4,5 and 7 (FMTM) and obtained underground driving certification.

Pre-feasibility: high tonnage open-pit gold mine (Russia)• Pit optimization, 3D design and LOM production scheduling.• Designed haulage network and equipment selection.• Boosted NPV by implementing stockpile strategies.Pre-feasibility: northern open-pit nickel and lead project (Canada)• Researched and established mine design criteria.• Coded complex block models and accurate dilution scripts.• QA of reported reserves, overburden and PAG/MAG material.• Bench-by-bench design of 8 mines with respect to geotechnical and operational constraints.Completed a two-day underground design & planning training at Vancouver MineSight offices.

Supported Minerals department during pilot plant campaigns and environmental studies:• Carried out mineral analyses using MLA and XRD systems.• Interpreted data involving mineralogy of samples with relevance to the mineral processing stages, metallurgical test work and recovery targets.• Ensured safe operation of lab equipment and contributed to the improvement of the laboratory’s safety culture, reviewed safety standards and created SOP content.Provided on-site metallurgical support to Sudbury’s Matte Processing plant during commissioning.
