As Co-Founder, CTO, and Board Member of ShipIn Systems, I led the company from inception to global scale, transforming maritime operations with AI and computer vision. At ShipIn, I built and guided the team that developed FleetVision™—the world’s first Visual Fleet Management Platform. This patented technology leverages AI-powered cameras and real-time visual analytics to improve ship-to-shore collaboration, enhancing safety, security, and productivity across maritime fleets.Under my technical leadership, we secured $24 million in Series A funding led by Zeev Ventures, joined by Munich Re Ventures, Hyperplane, and other top investors, marking a notable investment in maritime innovation. FleetVision™ is now installed in fleets worldwide, reducing onboard incidents and increasing cargo operations efficiency. These achievements reflect my dedication to advancing transportation technology, and they have positioned ShipIn Systems as a leader in AI-driven solutions for the global shipping industry.

I led the data science and software practice, applying machine learning to advance mineral exploration efforts. My responsibilities included product and technology development, operational delivery, strategic direction of the data science program, and fostering business-focused collaborations with third parties.I spent 1.5 years on-site in Santiago, Chile, where I developed machine learning and software tools for copper exploration, with our efforts validated through actual drills. Following this, I moved to Boston to establish the company’s global R&D headquarters, driving innovation and scaling our data science initiatives on an international level.

• Led a comprehensive revamp of cloud usage analytics product to enhance its accuracy, improve UX and data availability. This resulted in an increase of 10x of throughput, and a reduction of resource consumption of 80%.• Headed the integration of Newvem’s team, product, and technology, launching a new version focused on the enterprise market that reached 130 companies in 5 months.

• Founded the first cloud usage optimization company in the public cloud space.• Raised funding from leading VCs (Greylock, Innovation Endeavors, Index, Passport) and private investors (Maurice Werdegar, George Kadifa, David Strohm, and others).• Headed due diligence and acquisition process as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.• Identified market needs, gathered user requirements, developed and validated alpha version.• Led company growth: scaled analytics service to 2,500 users (spending $100s M on AWS), tracking the lifecycle of 25M resources, with billions of data points acquired (and retained) on a daily basis; added a content generation engine reaching 30K monthly unique visitors.• Newvem’s technology tackled public clouds manageability problems derived from resources’ ephemeral lifecycles: ever-changing, software-defined assets generating huge amounts of data that are not handled by legacy solutions. Our approach treated clouds as “utilities”, bringing a new layer of information into IT decision-making by providing analytics into usage, spend, and implementation best practices, combined with prescriptive actions on individual resources.
