Developing valuation models for Securities, Money Market Instruments and Derivatives. Portfolio and Unit Trust Income reporting. Calculating Investment Income accruals and Tax treatment thereof. Achievement:Developed Excel model to calculate and account for tax accruals on financial instruments in compliance with unannounced change in tax legislation. Model was successfully utilised until computer and accounting systems were implemented two years later.

Responsibilities:Management Consulting to Public and Private Companies, NGOs and Government entities including, Developing Business Plans, Strategies, Financial Models, Structures and Controls. Drafting of Share Prospectuses. Assisting with Business turnarounds. Developing legislation and internal policies. Achievement:As management consultant was instrumental in setting up business plans, strategy and drafting prospectuses for two start-up public companies one of which eventually listed on the JSE.

Responsibilities:Auditing of Public and Private companies, NGOs, Trusts, Attorneys Trust Accounts, also Government entities. Audit Manager on Private Companies, NGOs, Trusts, Attorneys Trust Accounts, also Government entities (while seconded to the Auditor General). Achievement:Appointed as firm’s initial Audit Manager liaison with Auditor General’s office and successfully oversaw audit process initial integration and completion of several government department audits.Responsibilities:Preparation and submission of client’s Company Income Tax, Personal Income Tax, Provisional Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and other sundry returns. Assisting clients with Tax Planning, setting up of Tax systems and with the resolution of SARS investigations and queries. Achievement:Headed VAT implementation project for all the practice’s large clients and successfully completed multiple projects ahead of schedule.
