Currently pursuing a second Masters degree from Ndejje University in the Science of Construction and Project Management (https://www.ndejjeuniversity.ac.ug/) while also conducting my research thesis as a requirement in fulfillment of my Masters degree in Engineering Management from the University of Applied Sciences (https://www.iu.org), Bad Honnef, Germany. I possess 2 certificates, one in Gender Diversity Management (GDM) in SMEs and the other in Environmental, Social, and Governance training for SMEs attained from the Atingi Learning platform (https://www.atingi.org). Having done civil and environmental engineering at University, after graduation, I made a conscious decision to specialize in environmental engineering which then led me to the field of water engineering.I have worked with Ndejje University in the Water Research and Development Center under the Engineering Faculty as a water research and project developer for the past 6 years. This position has provided me with the opportunity to create and develop partnerships both locally and internationally to combine resources and efforts to address the climate change issues and the water challenges in Uganda and the world at large. In this pursuit, we have partnered with the University of Applied Forest Sciences, Rottenburg (https://en.hs-rottenburg.net/) for the past 3 years working with students from Uganda and Germany to work together in developing sustainable solutions to the existing Water and climate change challenges. Under this partnership, the WRDC has undertaken projects funded by BWS Plus (https://www.bw-stipendium.de/de/stipendien) a German organization that encourages international collaborations among students in partnering institutions in different countries. With our current partnership, working with Universities from Ghana, Ethiopia, and Germany on a 3-year project titled, "Bridging the Gender Digital gap". Through our other partnership with The Ayin Project (https://www.theayinproject.org/), I have had the opportunity to gain skills in Water-based and non-water-based software applications, harness my research skills, develop community engagement skills with experienced practitioners from developed and undeveloped countries, gained extensive knowledge in the water sector and still learning more from this partnership. At the Water Research Center, we have a Water lab that I manage and run efficiently to ensure safety, efficiency, compliance and comformity to the set standards.
