Young Neuromorphs is an international community of young innovators. We connect globally and provide meaningful opportunities for growth in Neuromorphic Engineering and AI. Through resources, events, and collaboration, we seek to nurture interdisciplinary talent. We contend that strong collaboration among the many disciplines spanning the field of Neuromorphic Engineering is critical to its long-term success, ranging from Electrical Engineering and Computer Science to Neuroscience and Physics. By fostering connections between long-standing academics, interested students, and industry, we intend to create a unique platform giving shape to the future of Neuromorphic Engineering.We have forged collaborations with notable industry professionals and academic researchers in the field of Neuromorphic Engineering, and we are in the active process of formalising our organisational structure and setting up our first event(s) - stay tuned for more!

Continuing my research into neuromorphic systems under supervision of Dr. Charlotte Frenkel. Working on hardware-acceleration of machine learning, hardware-friendly ML architectures, edge-based learning, and similar themes.

Back in 2020, I submitted a citizens' initiative with a group of fellow students to found a youth council in the municipality of Alphen aan den Rijn. This initiative was signed by more than 200 citizens and was unanimously accepted by the municipal council. I have since been involved in the process of founding what has ultimately become the Youth Advisory Council (Jongerenadviesraad) of Alphen aan den Rijn, JARA, leading to its official opening in July of 2023. I presently help coordinate the council as an advisory member.

Researching neuromorphic hardware architectures and bioplausible learning algorithms in the 'Cognitive Sensor Nodes and Systems' (CogSys) group

A multi-disciplinary interactive summer course of TU Delft, University of Amsterdam, and Erasmus University in collaboration with CERN IdeaSquare and Nikhef. The goal of the programme is to investigate the potential value of big science (ATTRACT) technologies and their amenability to innovative applications beyond their initial cutting-edge academic and prospective industrial boundaries.

Co-founder and member of the Youth Advisory Committee. As the Youth Advisory Committee, we were responsible for co-hosting events for youth delegates during CPMR North Sea Commission (NSC) conferences and for providing the NSC with a youth perspective on policy questions and issues.

As the national UNESCO Youth Committee, we are responsible for connecting Dutch youth to the pillars of UNESCO and vice versa. As a member of the fourth UNESCO Youth Committee, I was principally responsible for formalising the committee by means of engaging and strengthening ties with external parties.
