Project Engineer
CurrentProject engineer reporting to engineering manager and project Director, leading local and the UK based multi-discipline engineering and procurement teams to deliver call of orders within >100 M£ projects for Sonatrach-BP-Statoil Gas exploitation joint venture.Key Responsibilities• Oversee all project related activities during all the project life cycle from initiation to close-out. • Single point of contact for Client Project Team.• Support the management of the interfaces between engineering offices, engineering disciplines, project controls, procurement, and third party contractors or suppliers and ensures effective transfer of information between the same.• Planning and scheduling of the scope of Engineering for the project and provides inputs to the project technical document register.• Review work allocation sheets and discuss with Algiers leads and liaise with UK Leads to ensure understanding and alignment.• Monitors the engineering progress, addresses shortfalls, assists in developing recovery plans where required and ensures plans are implemented.• Encourages participation of the engineering team members in project reviews and assists in resolution of any issues arising out of the same.Key Achievements • Secured consequent costs savings by encouraging local engineering team to take ownership of complex engineering jobs usually handled by base office, and by leading procurement team to streamline procurement procedures. • Delivered call of orders on agreed baselines, under agreed budget and obtained agreement to all change orders submitted to client.
