As a Senior animator, I’m lucky to lead a fantastic team of around 50 talented animators! I love guiding and supporting my team, helping to divide tasks and set deadlines to keep everything on track. I also create an internal timeline for our video releases, making sure we’re all set well ahead of the live dates.Part of my job is to conduct video quality control (QC) to keep our animation standards high. I ensure that we meet our project briefs, storyboards, and deadlines. Working collaboratively is key for us—I partner with the pre-production team, which includes our amazing scriptwriters, storyboard artists, and master teachers, as well as the post-production crew of illustrators, video editors, and audio production specialists.I enjoy sitting down with my animator team to go over the storyboard and decide on the best animation style to bring our ideas to life. I try to spot any potential hiccups in production before they become issues and work towards finding solutions. Plus, I’m always here to help the video team make sure we hit our deadlines.On top of all that, I create 2D animations for elementary school learning videos using Adobe After Effects. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is mentoring my team members. I love to inspire and support them as they develop their skills and grow in their careers!
