With this volunteer position, I work with various LGBTQ+ activists and organizations within Serbia and the Balkan region. I help out with pride campaigns and events. I was a volunteer during the Belgrade Pride 2023 and 2024 march. I also volunteer at the Pride Info Center located in Belgrade, Serbia. This center provides a safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ members and allies and various educational events are held at this location relating to LGBTQ+ issues and resources. This organizations main goal is to bring visibility to the LGBTQ+ community and the issues they face. They strive towards reaching certain goals like marriage equality and accessibility to gender-affirming care within Serbia. Belgrade Pride works endlessly to provide safety, support, and resources for LGBTQ+ Serbians and volunteering with them allows me to better educate myself on the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community in Serbia.

Member of the Political Organization “Pokret Slobodnih Gradjana” (Movement of Free Citizens) Youth board , which is a political organization fighting corruption in Serbian government. This organization is part of the “Srbija Protiv Nasilja” (Serbia Against Violence) coalition which aims to end gun violence, gender-based violence, and hate crime rates in Serbia. Volunteering for this organization has given me first-hand experience in politics and international relations. I have attended protests and meetings with this organization. The youth board specifically focuses on issues relating to youth such as education and employment. The youth board allows for young voices to be heard and have an impact in the political world.

Managed the social media accounts of Rhonda Bolton. Rhonda Bolton was running for reelection as a Huntington Beach City Council Member. As her Social Media manager, I posted content relating to her campaign twice a day and worked on spreading awareness about her candidacy.

Volunteered during the Women Loving Women exhibition and festival that took place in Belgrade, Serbia. My volunteer duties consisted of greeting guests, setting up event and exhibition tables, and answering questions.

A returning volunteer for the Belgrade Pride Academy, where i work alongside both the Youth Initiative for Human Rights Serbia and Belgrade Pride. In this position, I attend meetings weekly to discuss the agenda for Belgrade pride (which includes a whole week of pride-related activities such as the pride parade) and how to make pride safe for all. New ideas and incite are developed through these meetings and I am able to work alongside many amazing LGBTQ+ activists.
