I graduated with my Bachelor Degree in Vascular Ultrasound Technology from Oregon Institute of Technology. I completed an eleven-month internship at the University of Utah Hospital. During my internship, I was afforded the opportunity to increase my knowledge and skills. I was being mentored by a founder of Vascular Ultrasound and privileged to work with top ranked vascular surgeons. While completing my internship I was given the opportunity to work with many inpatients and outpatients daily. This experience allowed me to fine-tune my communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills. I have a passion to learn and increase my skills as I prepare to further my career as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist. After completing my Bachelor Degree I have been fortunate to work at Vein Nevada. This has allowed me to further my skill as a technologist, from scanning abilities to my communication skills. While working at Vein Nevada I was given the opportunity to learn and greatly improve my ability to perform venous reflux studies. I have learned how to accurately evaluate the great saphenous veins, small saphenous veins, varicose vein branches and perforator veins.
