Some of my tasks as a Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer in Neurocast include:- Extending, maintaining and refactoring of the data pipeline.- Data analysis and report (via Jupyter Noteboks)- Time series data modeling and forecasting.- Development of data science tools for internal use (python libraries).- Code reviews.- Effective verbal and visual communication of data science concepts to other non-technical teams.- Monthly showcasing of my work in Show n' Tell events.

I was part of the Momala project, where we worked on offering a mobile solution to malaria diagnosis. I worked on a side research project, investigating an alternative ML method on the same problem. This later on became my Msc thesis project.My tasks also included:- Data collection and cleaning: digitalization of blood samples using a mobile camera mounted on a laboratory microscope, and manual selection of them.- Data munging and standardization: integration of various data sources.- Assistance in data annotation.- Programming assistance to the lead data scientist of the project.- Code reviews.- Writing blogs and participating in Knowledge Sharing sessions.
