PROPERLY APPLIED eyelash extensions do not cause damage to natural lashes and are pain free. The extensions are applied to the hair and not the skin. How long do they last? As a natural part of the eyelash (hair) growth cycle, a person is continuously losing and re-growing new eyelashes, every 60-90 days. touch-ups are to maintain existing lashes by removing any that are loose and by adding extensions to new hair growth. How do I care for my lash extensions? Minimally! Avoid water and steam on lashes for the first 24 hours after they are applied. Following the first day, you can shower, swim, workout - the extensions are totally waterproof. You should however avoid rubbing and pulling on lashes, also using eyelash curlers and oily makeup remover on your new lashes will shorten their life. Mascara is not necessary anymore, but ok to wear as long as it is water washable. You should not use waterproof mascara because it can disturb and weaken the adhesive bond of the lash extension.
