👋🏻 Hi, I'm Natalia! I love the publishing world and have a passion for editing content, appreciate author creativity, produce print and digital publications, and making a difference in educational publishing.🎓 I have recently completed Centennial College’s Publishing – Book, Magazine, and Electronic program, where I gained multiple skills related to the publishing field, from copy-editing to the production and design process.🎓 In 2020, I completed the Editing Certificate at The University of Chicago.🎓 In 2017, I graduated from Pontificia Bolivariana University at Medellin, Colombia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies. 📝 I recently finished a field placement at Rubicon Publishing, where I learned about the educational publishing field market in Canada and United States, and assisted the editorial team in multiple editorial tasks.📝 I have 2 and a half years of experience in the role of Editorial Assistant at an educational publisher called Vista Higher Learning, working specifically in the language educational field. I have experience using different style guidelines in order to correct errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation. I also have experience writing and researching material and assisting in both the digital and print process of publication of content, acting as a liaison between writers, editors and different departments such as design, production, permissions and tech-production. 💭 I would describe myself as a hard-working professional, intellectually curious and agile, and an extremely organized person.💭 Strong language skills: native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and basic command of French in the four basic competencies.
