Hi, I’m Natalia Drazek, a double degree student in Environmental Science (Major: Urban Environments) and Business (Major: Management) at Griffith University. My career goal is to become an Environmental Manager/Consultant, where I aim to manage the development and implementation of environmental management systems within organisations by identifying, solving, and alleviating environmental issues.As an intern at South Queensland Environmental Expertise and Services, I apply my skills and knowledge in environmental science to assist clients in achieving their sustainability goals.I currently serve as a Griffith University Council Member and am the Vice President of the Student Guild Board. Additionally, I am a Global Shaper, part of the Global Shapers program, an initiative of the World Economic Forum that empowers young leaders to drive positive change in their communities and globally.At Griffith University, I work as a Science PASS Leader, where I support student learning and retention in various science and math courses. I also contribute as a Student Representative on the Griffith Business School Retention Task Force, helping to improve student engagement and retention. I am the Event Officer for the Griffith University Commerce Society, where I help organise events that foster community among students. Additionally, I am a Student Business Leader as part of the Griffith Business School Student Leadership Program, where I develop leadership skills and contribute to student development initiatives.Throughout my academic journey, I’ve been recognised with several awards, including the Griffith Business School 2024 Leadership Award, the Griffith Sciences Engagement in Professional Development Award for 2024, and the Griffith Sciences Dashing Debut Award for 2024 for my first year as a PASS leader. I am also a recipient of the Academic Excellence Business Plus scholarship, the 2023 Academic Excellence Award, and a proud member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, recognising the top 15% of students worldwide.In addition to my academic and leadership roles, I am committed to environmental sustainability as a Landcare Volunteer, where I participate in tree planting. I am also a Surf Lifesaving Volunteer, patrolling beaches in the surf and swimming environment.I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow as an environmental professional, and I’m eager to connect with others who share my passion for environmental issues and solutions.
