I'm a bilingual Chilean-born immigrant who believes in the power of people-led movements, peer-led empowerment and thrives in organizations with deep grassroots social justice missions. I have worked at the cross-hairs of areas such as community-based health care, civic engagement, k-12 public education, decarceration and civil rights. I bring a decades' worth of experience in working across tables, various social groups, and thrive in environments who model and are principled in their values from the inside out. I find joy in collaboration around nonprofit organizational sustainability, people operations and culture, financial health and transparency and supporting staff from all walks of life. I believe that true equity and inclusion in the workplace is when everyone are able to bring their whole selves to work, without fear of judgment or retaliation, where professional development is prioritized and work is truly shared and collaborative. I has been blessed to learn from folx from all walks of life and cultures and thrive in race-forward organizations. I love all things project management and seek to improve and streamline systems, seeking input and striving for consensus building where possible. I'm a builder, visionary, weaver, and healer and believe in shifting from power holding to power sharing. I believe a better world in nonprofit spaces is possible, one that deconstucts and deviates from the status quo and dismantles our traditional notions of hierarchies within our organizations. Self agency, voice, choice are important to me and I encourage this from those I work with.I'm a 200 hour RYT (registered yoga teacher). I'm also on my journey to the incorporation of somatic tools and practices into my work and would like to move this work to the organizational level in the future. All humans have caused harm somewhere along their path and my approach is one of metta and "loving kindness" to all sentient beings.
