LNBio is a Laboratory from CNPEM dedicated to cutting-edge research and innovation focused on biotechnology and drugs development.I was mainly involved in a R&D project for the development of dermo-cosmetic with natural extracts, developing and conducting pre-clinical assays of cytotoxicity and dermo-cosmetic biological efficacy, 2D and 3D cell culture, alternative methods to experimentation animals. I also collaborated in different projects of basic research and R&D on the topics of breast cancer, metabolic syndrome and blood clotting, conducting cell culture assays, protein expression and purification, in vitro biophysical assays.Constant search critical analysis of articles in scientific literature. Scientific writing of protocols, reports, papers, reviews, grant proposals, book chapters and results presentation.

The PhD project was supervised by Dr Ana Carolina Migliorini Figueira at Spectroscopy and Calorimetry Laboratory at Brazilian National Laboratory of Bioscience (LNBio).Recipient of a FAPESP Doctorate Fellowship in Brazil and a BEPE-FAPESP Fellowship for an international research internship in the Center for Integrative Genomics at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland.Developed a medium-throughput screening of drug candidates for a biological target. Coupled 3 experiments to verify the compound activity, improved stability and physical binding regarding the protein target. This project was awarded the prize for best poster presentation in BITEC - Encontro de Biociências e Tecnologias (2014) and it was published at PPAR Research Journal (2018). Joined 2 collaborations projects, resulting in 2 published papers. Organized, as part of a 5-person team, a 4-day symposium for 42 undergraduate and graduate students on pharmaceutical and health technologies and innovations, with an improvement of the participants' attendance in comparison with the last event. Teaching Assistant (with a scholarship) of Basic Genetics classes for +40 second-year students of Pharmacy, offering exercise lists for guided study, question & answer sessions, and a Molecular Biology Lecture. Visiting researcher at Center for Integrative Genomics under supervision of Dr. Michalik.Recipient of a Brazilian exchange scholarship for a 1-year internship abroad (FAPESP-BEPE/RIA).I started a collaboration project between Dr. Michalik's group and my home group in Brazil, combining our interests on ligand-modulation of the nuclear receptor PPARb with the expertise of Dr. Michalik's group in investigating PPARb roles in skin (culture of cell line human keratinocytes and animal models of wound healing).I also joined an ongoing project of Dr. Michalik, in which I worked with experiments focused on understanding the roles of the miRNA miR-21-3p, an indirect target of PPARb, on inflammatory processes of primary mouse keratinocytes and animal models of wound healing.With this internship I developed skills in: RNA extraction, qPCR/real time qPCR, primary cell culture, cell migration and proliferation experiments, miRNA and DNA transfection, western blotting, analyses of RNA expression.

Recipient of a teaching assistant fellowship for Basic Genetic taught for Pharmacy students in University of Campinas - Brazil. Offered exercise lists, Q&A sessions, and a class on molecular biology techniques.

Project Title: Influence of the disintegrin DisBa-01 on endothelial cell (HMEC-1) migration, fibronectin adhesion and metaloprotease activity.Evaluation of a drug candidate on human endothelial cells (HMEC-1) for a project on cancer treatment.Presented the results in poster format for 2 conferences (1 international), and for the bachelor monograph exam (oral presentation and thesis).

Supervised by Prof. Dr. Flávio Henrique da Silva at Molecular Biology Laboratory. Recipient of an undergraduate fellowship by FUNDUNESP/BNDES to perform metagenomics analyses of a sugarcane fermentation bioreactor in a collaboration project between an academic laboratory and an ethanol plant.
