About Natalia Kallio

I am an author, Human Rights advocate and trainer. Youth organizations have raised me and I have been actively participating in youth spaces on a local and global level throughout my life. I have been working as an international Human Rights trainer, advocate and campaigner for the past 8 years for different organizations, companies and political parties. I am specialized in NFE. I also work as a youth coordinator for Nuoret Kotkat at my local level. I have delivered a range of global long-term projects and educational and campaigning activities. I have expertise in the areas of Human Rights Education, Intercultural Learning, Youth Participation, Social and Economic inclusion, Feminism, Gender, LGBTQI + rights, Sexuality, Sexual violence, Peace, Populism, Advocacy, and youth work in general.During the past years I have been on the Board of the world largest LGBTQI+- student & youth organization: IGLYO. I am currently on the board of the European Youth Forum, which is the largest platform of youth organizations in Europe composed of more than 100 international youth organizations and National Youth Councils. I am an international team leader but I am also a creative artist. My debut novel “Kotileikki” (Kosmos,2022) was published last September and It is a story about class differences. I have also published feminist poetry collection “She Needs Bigger Boots” (Kosmos, 2019) and been involved in writing a range of educational toolkits and handbooks. My books are my political weapons. I bring creativity, diversity, dynamism and a critical structural approach to my work and I am driven by the value of human rights and that is guiding my work and focus as a trainer, author and Board Member in order to create social change & peaceful societies.

Nuorten toivomat työpajat tukevat kouluissa tehtävää lakisääteistä ja opetussuunnitelman mukaista tasa-arvo- ja yhdenvertaisuustyötä.
