I am an environmental attorney with experience in litigation, advising, policy, and compliance counseling. I have worked in both the public and private sectors and bring a nuanced perspective to my current role in federal water enforcement. I am currently an attorney advisor with EPA Headquarters, in the Water Enforcement Division of the Office of Civil Enforcement, within the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA). My role at EPA is to provide support and guidance to EPA Regional Offices on enforcement cases of national significance and to ensure national consistency. My expertise has focused on Clean Water Act section 404 enforcement, Safe Drinking Water Act judicial cases, and Clean Water Act cases against municipalities.Prior to EPA, I worked for three years at a DC-based NGO, representing riverkeeper organizations in citizen suits against companies polluting the Chesapeake Bay. Before that, I worked in private practice for four years as a litigation associate, with additional experience in environmental compliance and environmental due diligence.I am a member of the National Hispanic Bar Association and have participated in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder program, designed to develop leadership skills in diverse attorneys. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my two-year-old son, listening to audiobooks, running, and camping/backpacking.
