Pepper the above with fun and you have my ideal work environment.My work and volunteer service spans a variety of critical health and human rights issues: HIV/AIDS, community health education and promotion, immigrant health, chronic disease prevention, occupational health and safety promotion, work wellness, women's health, senior health and wellness, nutrition, affordable housing, food insecurity, COVID-19 pandemic response team work and much more. Some of the high-level funders which I have worked with include the CDC, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Susan J. Komen Foundation. I have a successful record of employing strategies building relationships that augment employee engagement, community participation in programs, volunteerism, and revenue. In the span of my work experience, I have championed a budget of 1M, supported a volunteer base of well over 1K spanning 11 departments in one organization, directly supervised a staff of 12 who worked over three locations, and turned a deficit running organization into one of prosperity. What is important to me as a leader? It's critical to maintain a positive work environment that is both results driven and fun-filled. Celebrate birthdays. Have potlucks. Recognize small wins.
