I am a recent UCSD graduate exploring my career options in education and sociological research. I’m seeking a graduate program that will help me expand my qualitative, quantitative, and ethnographic research skills. I’m interested in researching how community and school equity programs empower Chicanx students to navigate the K-12 to higher education pipeline successfully. As a first-generation college student, I believe in the transformative power of education and want to help the next generation realize their futures.I’m proud to have grown up in the historic La Colonia de Eden Gardens neighborhood and give back to my hometown through my work with La Colonia Community Foundation.
