The use of indigenous tweeds from family weavers Molloy & Sons in Donegal are frequently used in the collections. She has developed a modern Irishness in her work. This narrative is coupled with opulent fabrics, appliques, whimsical hand beaded and hand painted surface decoration.In 2013 Natalie became the first Irish designer ambassador to Microsoft Ireland. This is an exciting role for the label bridging innovation and technology with fashion. Other NATALIEBCOLEMAN collaborations include working with fellow St. Martins MA student Derek Lawlor on a knitwear collection for Autumn/Winter 2016. In 2011 Natalie published An Archive with renowned graphic designer Paul Bailey. The book was specially commended at the Best British Book Design and Production Awards and was bought by London College Of Fashion as part of their permanent library.For her Spring/Summer 2016 collection Natalie channelled her inner Girl Gang manifesto! These slogan emblazoned T-shirts and sweaters Support Your Local Girl Gang are now part of an ongoing collaboration with ‘Because I am a Girl campaign’ in association with www.planinternational.ie. NATALIEBCOLEMAN donates €5 for any piece sold to the foundation. Her collections have been featured in magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Self, Grazia, Marie Claire, Dutch Vogue and Cosmos while fans of the label include Laura Whitmore, Angela Scanlon, Marina & The Diamonds, Suki Waterhouse, Lily Collins, Little Mix and Mary J Blige.
