I am a Senior Instructional Designer at Ally Financial, specializing in Sales Enablement. I have been with Ally for 2+ years, and prior to that I was at Whole Foods Market for over 8 years. I was a team member in the Prepared Foods department for most of that time while going to college for Graphic Design, Mass Communications, and eventually Instructional design. I freelanced and continued to work at Whole Foods Market and finished degrees (Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's); I also took on graphic design internships and freelanced design work for companies such as Piranha Vending and Obedient Agency. I discovered my passion for learning and development when I became a Team Trainer for Prepared Foods at WFM. I was a subject matter expert in Prepared Foods, and was able to facilitate and lead new hires to success in their roles. I ensured new hires and veteran workers were successful in their roles and helped them grow.Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Design for Online Learning, focusing on gamification. I have been a technology nerd my whole life (31 years). I grew up playing video games and think gaming can motivate and help people learn. It's a growing phenomenon, and I look forward to showing the success of gamification in learning and development.
