Utilise the Agile Scrum framework to manage a cross-functional squad of 3-6 engineers to resolve Powertrain quality projects related to ICE, Hybrid and BEV propulsion software and ensure future system robustness. Responsible for developing and communicating product goals, creating and managing the squad’s backlog, resolution and/or escalation of obstacles where necessary and negotiating the necessary resources for the squad to enable effective problem solving.

Responsible for the management and resolution of Powertrain quality projects, across ICE and Hybrid applications, through a robust Six Sigma process (8D and DMAIC). Leading multiple projects in parallel, coordinating cross-functional teams of technical specialists and stakeholders across software, hardware and project management. Supporting Powertrain Quality strategic direction through the development and management of a process for analysis of customer road side assists up to 3 months in service.

Responsible for conception and development of a large data processing tool for automated analysis and calibration of driveability calibration; development of in-house rules and requirements against assessed customer driving profiles. Development of software toolsets, mainly via MATLAB, to improve automated processing and promote increased efficiency in order to improve company products.

In addition to responsibilities as Driveability Calibration engineer, my role as Lead Engineer involved active liaison between the attribute and the respective project teams for each programme regarding resources and planning. I was responsible for coordinating activities with external teams, including Terrain Response and Transmission Calibration, as well as delivering calibration content to our internal Project Delivery team in order to meet project gateways. In addition, I managed the team’s relationship with external suppliers regarding calibration control and issue management.I was also responsible for managing the team’s calibration deliveries into the main calibration for calibration releases and in reverse, building and delivering bespoke calibrations to our external customers as required.

As a Driveability Calibration Engineer, I was responsible for the calibration and delivery of vehicle torque management aspects of 4- and 6-cylinder diesel Jaguar Land Rover products, enhancing the feel and response of the vehicles whilst meeting legislative and performance requirements. A significant proportion of my role involved software debugging and issue resolution, as well as developing processes, documents and calibration guides.

Received a HEAR College Ambassador Award as recognition of work undertaken as part of the Student Ambassador Team. This involved representing the University at Open Days by providing campus tours and running course stands. Also assisted with leading activities and supervising pupils aged 16-18 in a residential Engineering Headstart course.

Utilising the Bloodhound SSC project as a medium to encourage students of all ages to pursue STEM subjects at higher levels of education by delivering presentations and rocket car workshops across the country. Presented at the Big Bang Fair North Wales 2015 an event organised by Engineering Education Scheme Wales/Stem Cymru to over 100 students aged 8-18. It was necessary to maintain the interest of a young audience while adhering to risk assessment procedures during demonstrations and experiments. Specialised in presenting to Girls into Engineering events.

Worked as a Package Engineer within the Prototype Vehicle Operations department focusing mainly upon a 2018 model year M1 prototype. Involved working with a team of engineers using software including Teamcenter and Catia to manage package, design and build issues related to prototype vehicles.
