I coordinate and implement current and new educational program ideas for the DNR, to offer educators valuable professional development opportunities. My goal is to exponentionally reach students through their teachers by giving those teachers the passion and tools to promote the importance and understanding of Michigan's natural resources through programs like Project WILD and the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies Conservation Education Toolkit.2013 graduate of the 9 month long DNR/DEQ/MDARD Leadership Academy in which my 5 person team created and implemented an agency career recruitment module for Detroit Youth.I also create and present engaging training and keynote sessions at many state and national conferences, update DNR web pages, and work on department wide priority teams such as customer service, DEI and employee engagement. I help our hunter/recreational safety instructors be better teachers, and welcome our new employees.

Scheduling, implementation, facilitation and administration of a 6 week Law Enforcement Academy for Park and Forest Officers (rangers). This includes ensuring courses meet MCOLES criteria, evaluating instructors and programs, budgeting, teaching several courses, proctoring scenarios and onsite crisis management. Creation and maintenance of a Training Records database for 350 full time employees.Auditing and recommending soft skill and hard skill courses to entire Division staff (350).Chairing, serving as a team member and/or facilitating the products of committees at both the Departmental and Division level for 360 degree performance appraisals, Supervisor Academies, Administrative Support Academies, In-Services, Conferences, Safety (MiOSHA standards), Technology, Marketing, first aid, CPR, survival tactics and others as necessary.

Solicited and drafted press releases for the field and division office to announce events and controversial topics.Coordinated division staffing, material/booth set-up, and participation in Outdoorama, State Fairs, Women's Shows, Hunting and Fishing Shows and Boat Shows.Fundraiser for support of National Conferences, and vendor support coordinator for same conferences.Statewide event planning/coordination.Researched and presented division marketing and promotional information to media/public, governmental offices and stakeholder groups.Created and updated web content, including text and photos for the Department and Division.
