I am an experienced, passionate and dynamic practitioner of Physical Education and Sport who truly believes that effective provision is the cornerstone to achieving long-term positive attitudes and behaviours toward physical activity. I consistently demonstrate excellent leadership, strategic and communication skills in my role as Director of Sport. As a sportswoman, I represented England in Hockey and played in the National Premier League for over two decades. My hockey playing career highlights include winning National titles with Surbiton HC as well as playing in the European Club Hockey Championships for Surbiton HC, Slough HC (indoor and outdoor) and Clifton HC. I also enjoyed playing for a season in the Spanish Liga (2006-7) for Ourense HC.I have a keen interest in what contributes to successful sporting performance: nutrition, fitness and training, strength and conditioning and effective coaching methodology. I thrive on bringing out the potential in young athletes (and non-athletes) and believe in providing high-level sporting opportunities for all. Most recently, I have embarked on my own postgraduate learning journey. I am studying all aspects of leadership within modern day education and business. I recently graduated with a Level 7 in Senior Leadership and a PGDip in Applied Leadership and Management. I am about to embark on my Masters of Arts extension pathway in Educational Leadership at the University of Buckingham. I am looking to move into Senior Leadership over the coming years.
