•Responsible for managing and maintaining medical records for easy retrieval•Retrieves medical records by gathering appropriate record information for audits and reviews•Maintains patient confidence by keeping patient records information confidential•Release patient records to healthcare facilities, according to regulations•Responsible for thinning patient charts•Files resident medical information in the resident chart in a chronological way. Assures that each section of the resident’s record is maintained in a net, organized and readable format.•Coordinates physician clinics (Dental, Eyecare, Audiology, Podiatry) •Ensures that Physician’s orders, telephone orders and other records requiring signatures are received and filed within the required time frame.• Orders all medical supplies and equipment for resident care •Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed, submitted and filed as required•Organize/supervise storage, control and issue of supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures•Ensure inventory is updated, as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment. •Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed, submitted and filed as required•Assist with administrative tasks upon request
