As the store manager I was responsible for the hiring and training of new associates. Performed monthly employee reviews as well to help develop associates further in their roles. Collaborated with the visual merchandiser to help ensure proper marketing was displayed and store was set to the planograms. Collaborated with the district manager about price adjustments to products that were not moving to help push the product resulting in higher sales for the store. Manage inventory, shipping and receiving. Create schedule for all associates and management team. Communicate all important information with entire team in a timely manner.

Coordinate with fellow interns to help with event planning for NcTakeOff. Man table to help recruit participants for events held by NcTakeOff. Help participants with time management, idea building and finessing thoughts into solid ideas.

I absolutely loved working for La Senza. I learned valuable sales techniques, and got great experience as a co-manager, learning scheduling, setting sales goals for associates, and how to do all of the paper work involved with management. One of my favorite experiences was when I got to go to their brand conference in Ohio when I was a Power seller to help teach the managers on what made me so successful in meeting and exceeding my sales goals.

I was actually recruited to work here as a manager based on the sales experience their district manager had received from me at La Vie en Rose. I took the opportunity because I wanted to be able to gain experience as a sales manager. I was able to go to Winnipeg, Manitoba to do my training which was a great experience. One of the skills I got was learning how to hire new staff. I also learned more about budgeting, scheduling and how to fully train new staff.

I had actually worked at this La Vie en Rose as well from January 2015 to March 2015, which is when I moved back to Niagara Falls to be near family and friends because I was pregnant with my first child. I gained a lot of experience here in a different sales environment because I worked at the Outlet in Niagara Falls before transferring to this location which was a boutique. There is a significant size difference in the two stores, and I was used to a busy tourist area, where the boutique was much more quite.

I worked here starting out as a sales associate, and made my way up to key holder. I was mainly responsible for training new staff because my manager wanted them to be able to pick up on my sales techniques. I transferred to the Boutique store, when I moved out to Regina,SK.

This was my first experience in Management, and I loved it. I helped to run the store for the owner. It was such a learning experience for me and I really appreciated my time here. It was amazing for my former boss to give me the chance to try my hand at management, and she may never know but she fully changed my life for me.
