I have recently graduated with First Class Honours from a four-year degree of Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (Honours) at the University of Queensland. In my concluding year I undertook an honours thesis (subsequently receiving First Class Honours at graduation), quantitatively investigating how co-located risky facilities influence levels of crime at train stations in South East Queensland. This degree was always at the top of my list, incorporating elements of my passions for law, policing, decision making, and the various capabilities of the human and criminal mind. Throughout its completion, I was able to partake in an array of varying courses, ranging from criminology and criminal justice to law, politics, psychology, archaeology, and sociology studies, taking from each valuable skills in my personal and professional development.I have also continued to volunteer at my local netball club as a coach and have now been elected on the club's committee. The experiences I have had over the past few years coaching have been some of the most rewarding, and I feel this is an environment in which I excel in. The whole journey season to season has required precise time management and planning, as well as the ability to think quickly on my feet and adjust my communication strategies when dealing with differing individuals from various backgrounds. As this club and netball is one of my biggest passions, I cannot wait to see where 2023 takes me.Lastly, I am also currently working at Bed Bath n Table. This position has required me to develop my interpersonal and communication skills particularly due to the distinct range of individuals you interact with every single day. I feel this position has also taught me a lot about decision-making and conflict resolution, enhancing my skillset in these areas.
