Notable projects and achievements (in all of these, I managed full cycle of development from requirements to testing)* Designed, developed, and am currently maintaining 60 complex automated reports which could not be automated with our standard methods because of many layers of complexity (outside messy data, matching, complex Excel formatting, constant changes of criteria, etc.).I automated them using Oracle stored procedures, MS Excel VBA macros, and MS Access/VBA front end.Automating these reports saves hundreds of hours of work per week and eliminates mistakes. * Saved company $7,000 a month by recreating and automating a set of reports which we used to get from a vendor. The challenge was to reverse engineer their logic. * Designed and developed an MS Access/Oracle matching application which allows us to easily match any file to our data using 4,000 field combinations. It also assigns a match strength % to each matched record. This application saves many hours of manual work per project.* Automated complex client reports which used to take weeks of manual work. The challenge was that these reports require data from an external website which is not available for download, only to lookup, it also must pass a validation program. I developed an MS Access/Oracle application that scrapes the data from the website, matches it against ours, creates reports, performs validation, and emails results. The reports now take 2 hours to run and do not require any manual work. Responsibilities * Develop complex ad hoc reports and applications based on specifications provided by requestors.* Analyze data, look for hidden patterns, develop algorithms and predictive models.* Work with messy data from various sources (including databases, manual files, and external websites), clean it up and combine it accurately.* Develop and rewrite applications and SQL code to optimize and/or adapt to new requirements.* Participate in project meetings.

* Developed an MS Access relational database with an SQL Server back end that stores clients, candidates, job openings, does billing and invoicing, tracks commissions for each recruiter, allows for mass mailings based on various criteria, controls what each recruiter is able to see based on in-app permissions.* Made improvements to database, setup and maintained network, backup, and SQL Server.
