As a Wilder Coast Volunteer, my aim is to excite visitors about the Oare Marshes and South Swale while raising awareness about how people can use the site responsibly and share it with its fantastic wildlife. With increasing uses of these reserves for recreation, the unique habitats and wildlife are impacted-- particularly wading bird species that depend on the marshes. As a volunteer I am responsible for educating visitors about the problems facing local wildlife, enthuse visitors about conservation, monitor for disturbances from visitor activities, recommend trails as appropriate to high/low tide, and encourage appropriate use of the protected spaces.

Worked in a team of counselors to build relationships, guide, and supervise fun and engaging summer camp activities at Camp Spencer with adults that have intellectual and physical disabilities. Other responsibilities included assisting in medical care and creating an accessible environment for campers.

Participated and lead teams to complete monthly and quarterly donation objectives, monitored program performance in Blackbaud financial management system, interviewed and evaluated new candidates for employment, and assisted supervisor in coordinating staff meetings.
