Set up a new Documentation team within KX to manage the technical documentation on code.kx.com. Responsible for content strategy and planning, resourcing, tool adoption and quality.Created and launched the new code.kx.com/kdbai site as part of the KDB.AI product launch within my first two months at KX.

Own the technical documentation and support content for a suite of 20+ products across the Trayport network. This includes trading, algorithmic and analytics software, as well as API documentation (including swagger, markdown and REST APIs). Responsible for the content strategy and ensuring consistency across client communications from different departments and locations. Manage a small team of technical writers to plan, execute and deliver supportive content (PDF, online help, video, GIF) across a suite of 20+ products to support the business objectives.

Launched the first online help for our flagship trading product: Joule and introduced instructional videos to assist clients setting up and using the Joule screen.Managed a small team of writers and was responsible for recruitment, department budget, tool progression and training. Developed and managed the online help content, instructional and promotional videos, webinars, PDFs and API documentation.

Managed the Documentation team (including line management of one other Technical Writer) and ensured all deadlines were met for product releases.Planned and executed updates for all customer-facing product documentation for Trayport’s software suite (Trading Gateway, Broker Trading System, Exchange Trading System). Produced release notes and compiled external training course material for Trayport clients.Assisted with maintaining and updating Trayport's external website and internal intranet system.

Application Support –• Key role as first point-of-contact for our clients. Responsible for handling support calls for two different, large-scale GIS asset management systems used by two major UK water providers• Tracked all calls from inception to conclusion to provide a satisfactory solution to all issues raised by the client• Liaised with other team members to discuss resolutions for specific areas of the systems• Monthly face-to-face meeting with the clients to discuss new and existing issues that had been raised.Application Testing –• Test-script writer for the administration component of the application• Application tester for both the stand-alone application and web-based application during the System Test and Factory Acceptance Testing phases.

• Online community administrator & trainer: Administrator for building and maintaining internal online community providing access to company documents for colleagues in multiple countries • Acting secretary for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Delivery Board, a panel of managers and directors (2 months)• Website management: Designed, coded and implemented a number of employee training websites using HTML, JavaScript, Java and MS FrontPage• Management reporting: Produced financial reports circulated amongst the entire EMEA Finance department, comparing EMEA Partner Spend between business quarters. Involved manipulating a vast amount of financial data using MS Excel to clearly represent in which sectors and countries the money had been spent within tight deadlines.
