Currently working as freelance Graphic Design working with local companies to create artwork and campaign graphics. I have over 15 years experience working as a designer, the first 5 years of my graphics career was working in Graphic studios on campaigns for the pharmaceutical and Licensed trade industry. This entailed coming up with creative campaigns for events such as Valentines day, Christmas for Thorley Taverns and Fuller, Smiths & Turner. We would create the artwork, Print and finish and package up the end product. I became highly proficient in Photoshop and the creative suite in this role.I then went to Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and worked as the lead designer for Maidstone Borough Council in a design team at TWBC and was eventually TUPE transferred to Maidstone Borough Council to take the Lead in their design team. I became focussed on Infographics for strategies and Policy's. I was the Lead designer in setting up the new more contemporary design style for the Council and setting up a council magazine (Borough Insight) which was to be distributed to the county. I regularly was involved in presenting my ideas to Corporate Leadership team. Towards the later years of working at the Council we began working on videos and I would create many videos for the Leadership team for certain projects and events. I worked closely with the Social Media Officer to create videos and graphics to the public via social media channels and would lease with the printers and get artwork printed and sent out. I left Maidstone Council during Covid due to family commitments, this enabled me to refocus and take some time to set myself up freelance, working with local companies to create logos, branding and events flyers. I also work closely with Kent County Council using my expertise in public sector graphics and requirements, working on projects for Kent Libraries and policy document infographics. I have enjoyed this experience, however I am know focussed on getting my career back on track and working within a team. I thrive when under pressure and to deadlines and enjoy learning off of others to improve my skills and areas of expertise.
