As the Democracy Policy Associate at O2 Utah, I am working to building relationships with state lawmakers, county clerks, and the state office of elections to develop legislative proposals to protect and expand voting access across Utah. I prioritize coalition-building and multi-pronged approaches. Please feel free to reach out to talk Utah elections reform policy.Additionally, I am working with Dr. Richard Cho on a paper concerning voter ID laws that was presented at the 81st MPSA Conference in Chicago on April 6, 2024.With my four years of experience with Planned Parenthood Association of Utah, I had the opportunity to organize get-out-the-vote efforts, build diverse coalitions of supporters, schedule and run events, and canvass for C3 campaigns and endorsed candidates. I was able to build meaningful connections between students, reproductive freedom advocates, and local elected officials which is how I earned the 2022 Exceptional Community Relations Award at the Utah Valley University Clubs Ceremony.As the 2023 valedictorian of the Utah Valley University College of Humanities and Social Sciences, I have demonstrated my ability to be highly motivated and goal-oriented. My academic emphases of state and local politics and peace and justice studies led me to speaking at the 67th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
