This public agency, serving the entire 1,300 square miles of Santa Clara County, provides rental assistance to low income families in a populated area of 1.8 million. HACSC provides rental assistance through the various HUD regulated programs for both County of Santa Clara and the City of San Jose. The Authority is governed by seven appointed Commissioners, and employs approximately 175 employees, of which 60% are represented by a Union (SEIU, Local 521). Respond to daily requests from management, staff and vendors regarding various HR related topics. Coordinate treatment for all work related injuries. Regular communication with claims administrator throughout the claim process.  Process all leave of absence requests and manage process from time of request through employees’ return.  Responsible for the administration of all CalPERS activities, both membership and benefit related.  Manage database of performance evaluations and employee increases. Work closely with management to ensure timely issuance.  Reconcile, administer and maintain organization-wide benefit programs. Gather information and prepare responses to claims received by EEOC/DFEH. Perform complete life-cycle recruiting, including: developing recruitment advertisement, screening, interviewing, hiring and orientation processes. Agency contact for California’s Fair Political Practices Commission. Responsible for all Form 700 processing.  Committee member for all employee-related activities (i.e. staff recognition luncheons, picnics, wellness fairs, holiday events) Assisted in planning, coordinating and managing an off-site Human Resources Consortium conference hosting 25 Housing Authorities.
