My coaching clients include higher education professionals and academic researchers from all career stages from PhD to Professor. My organisational clients include universities and research organisations that are looking to develop excellent research cultures and environments in which staff and students can thrive. I hold a European Mentoring and Coaching Council accredited qualification in coaching and mentoring and am a member of the Association for Coaching.

Managing the professional development support for 400 members of research staff across the University of Sussex ensuring institutional implementation of European and UK policies and principles governing research staff development. Designing, and managing a programme of events and workshops to support the professional development of postdoctoral researchers. Designing and implementing mentoring schemes for early career researchers and delivering one-to-one careers and professional development coaching for researchers. Equality and diversity initiatives, including membership of the University Athena Swan committee and a leading role in the institutional Athena Swan Bronze submission. Championing the needs of researchers to University committees in order to implement policy and practices to enhance the overall environment and working conditions for researchers at Sussex. Reviewing the researcher development practices of other UK Institutions as a UKpeer reviewer for the HR Excellence in Research Award.

Overseeing peer review operations and processes across EPSRC. Representing the interests of EPSRC at cross-research council committees governing peer review systems and processes. Managing teams to implement peer-review related change projects across the research council.

Managing peer review of research proposals within the Physical Sciences. Developing and maintenance of relationships with the Physical Sciences academic community. EPSRC liaison with Imperial College London working with senior mangers at Imperial to maintain strategic relationship. Management of funding calls, peer review panels and procurement of national level research facilities. Training and development provision for academics specifically relating to research council procedures and policies.
