As a hearing and hearing health specialist, my higher purpose mission is to cultivate and empower mindset change through better choices. Life presents challenges and it is only through empowering good care taking we can embrace the opportunity to overcome these challenges effectively and gain greater mental freedom.With a decade of experience as an audiologist, I am committed to supporting people through a health and wellbeing lens. My professional journey has been marked by empathy, leadership, integrity, true care, and a commitment to reflective practice. My expertise spans paediatrics and adults with learning disabilities, focusing on diagnostics and (re)habilitation.I have worked closely with audio-vestibular medicine, oncology, Pulmonary Cilia Dyskinesia multi-disciplinary teams, Learning Disabilities health teams, dementia and mental health teams, Down Syndrome organisations, special educational needs coordinators, teachers of the Deaf/hearing impaired, and in Serious Case Conferences involving the safeguarding of vulnerable adults, children, and young people.Currently, I am part of an adult diagnostics team, receiving specialist training in vestibular (balance/dizziness) diagnostics and Auditory Processing Disorder (APD). I embrace complementary health and wellbeing practices that sustain and support health Recently, I qualified as a Tomatis Sound Therapist.Creativity is central to my approach. I created wellbeing app content for young people transitioning from paediatrics to adult audiology services. I contribute to and collaborate within the field of audiology and wider health and social care through article writing, delivering training, contributing to policy writing, and public speaking.I am regularly involved in advocacy support for families of children and adults with Down Syndrome, ADHD, adults with learning disabilities, people in care homes and assisted living, young people who have experienced school exclusion, young people with criminal records/prison leavers, and young care leavers.My vision is to empower individuals on their health and wellbeing journey, helping them make healthy choices and achieve the life they desire.
