Contracts and risk management including, but not limited to, the following duties: Managed Public Works Owner (Prime) Contracts and compliance requirements upstream and downstream. Familiar with bid documents and awarded contracts by local municipality, Caltrans, State and Federal-funded projects. Drafted, reviewed, edited, and negotiated subcontracts and purchase orders for Vendors, Truckers, and Subcontractors. Managed Vendors and Subcontractors, ensuring that all insurance and contractual compliance was met. Point of Contact for company's annual renewals for General Liability, Automobile Liability, Workers’ Compensation/Employer Liability, Property, and other policies as needed. Point of Contact for all company claims. Managed claims and corresponded with insurance agent, attorneys, and adjusters. Filed claims against others' insurance as necessary by preparing documentation and interfacing with claim adjusters. Managed collections and compliance of insurance for risk management. Dispersed certificates of insurance as required. Collaborated with insurance agency / carrier for loss control management. Managed Labor Compliance including, but not limited to, certified payroll reports, apprenticeships, and dues for projects. Supported in the business development of public works projects with completions of pre-qualifications, RFPs/RFQs, and all related contract administration. Management of Extra Work Bills (Change Orders) in Caltrans’ web-based Oracle system. Managed indirect support in field offices with regards to contracts, insurance, claims, compliance, safety, and payroll.
